Peacocks

We have been talking about the zoo, so when I saw the feathers I knew exactly what we needed to make.  In my classroom we prefaced the activity by talking about peacocks.  We looked at many pictures of peacocks and talked about how they had many feathers.

Supplies

* Paper Plate (could use big or small; we used the larger ones)

* Peanut type cutout for peacock

* Feathers

* Glue

Instructions

The children were told to glue the peacock body on the plate first, then cover it with feathers.  Once they had enough feathers, the children had the opportunity to draw a face on the peacock.

Overall, the kiddos really enjoyed the activity.  It really worked out well, and the children seemed to understand the concept of what to do.  It was a simple, yet cute project for the kids to do.
